Building capacities of local actors on Energy Efficiency and Climate issues

Albania and Kosovo have started their journey towards a more efficient and environmentally friendly economic and social development. The Green transition requires a cross-sector approach and cooperation of various public, civil and business sector stakeholders taking part in a democratic dialogue with increased support and coverage by the media.

THE PROJECT

The project “Pathway towards an efficient use of local natural resources” aims to promote the sustainable use of natural resources in local level through the implementation of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy measures and policies.
The action is implemented by Academy of Political Studies (APS) in partnership with Prishtina Institute for Political Studies (PIPS), Municipality of Kurbin and Municipality of Suhareka, thanks to the support of IPA II European Union Cross-border programme Albania – Kosovo, 3th call for application.

THE RESULTS

Through the action it is aimed to:

• Capacitate local administrations and communities to support a local strategic framework complying with national requirements and EU standards.

• Building and promoting green pilot investments.

• Increased awareness of all local stakeholders on energy efficiency and climate change issues.
