An open day on energy for the students of "Shtjefën Gjecovi" high school in Kurbin

An open day was held by the municipality of Kurbin on the theme "Energy Efficiency", with the participation of students from the high school "At Shtjefën Gjeçovi", Laç. The purpose of this activity was to inform and raise the awareness of the participants regarding energy efficiency, the duties of the municipality and cooperation with other local actors for the implementation of sustainable energy development plans.

The discussion with the young people was carried out by the engineer of the Department of Planning, Control and Development of the Territory of Kurbin Municipality, Mrs. Kristina Gjoka, where the term energy efficiency was discussed, suggestions on what are some of the actions that everyone can apply in the house or the environment where it is located to save energy, familiarity with the different heating-cooling or lighting systems, this is also explained with examples to better understand the participating group, as well as the impact of energy efficiency measures on the environment.

This activity was carried out in the framework of the project "The road to the efficient use of local natural resources", which is implemented by the Academy of Political Studies in cooperation with the Prishtina Institute for Political Studies PIPS and the municipalities of Kurbin and Suharekë with the financing of the Cross-Border Program Albania - Kosovo of the IPA II Pre-Accession Instrument of the European Union
